Inspired by the English spy craze of the sixties, our fully functional sword cane evokes images of dashing secret agents. The extremely high quality European walking stick design is mated perfectly to a fully functional, 17" long surgical steel rapier blade that has a superior temper. The blade has a tapered point specifically designed for deep penetration (we drove one through a steel helmet with no deformation to the blade or point).
The sword cane or stick as it was first known was a popular fashion accessory for the wealthy during the 18th and 19th centuries. They varied in size of blade and decoration from short stabbing blades to rapier size swords. However during this period, it was becoming unacceptable in social settings to openly carry a sword, even though there were still aristocrats routinely trained in the gentlemanly art of swordsmanship and dueling who wished to go armed for self-defense. Rarer were swords concealed in ladies' walking sticks and parasols, as it was even less socially acceptable for a lady to carry a sword, or gasp, publicly admit that she knew how to use one!

Collector's Swordstick
While Sherlock Holmes had his iconic pipe and deerstalker, the equally sharp but often understated Dr. Watson carried a humble walking staff. The Victorian Walking Cane replicates this sidekick's side-stick in great detail. This hardwood cane is covered in beautiful black enamel and ends in a rubber tip for the prevention of scuffing the floor and sounding your arrival. At its head is a thick ring made of actual bone covered in ornate carvings, and the very top of the cane itself is decorated with a small, rounded ornament made of polished horn. The Victorian Walking Cane makes a truly resplendent companion for any walk down the street and is a must-have for lovers of the tales of Sherlock Holmes.
The design concept for the Cold Steel Heavy Sword Cane was to make a cane that offered significant orthopedic support, and be stylish enough so that it didnt look like a stodgy piece of medical equipment. The result is a very appealing cane with an extra strong partial crook handle made from Grivory, with a black, aluminum shaft that's 2mm thick and heat-treated for strength. The shaft is handsomely tapered and capped with a thick rubber ferrule for better traction on slick, icy sidewalks or uneven terrain.
The concealed sword is easily released by a hard, quick tug on the handle to break the suction of its friction lock. Its an extremely formidable sword too, made from 1055 Carbon steel, a little over 24 in length and 5.5mm thick. Its sturdy enough for both cutting and thrusting, with one long cutting edge, a strong sharp point, and a fully sharpened back edge. Its more than enough to take down any attacker, and the heavy aluminum shaft of your cane makes a fine weak hand parrying weapon and a frightfully effective bludgeon in its own right.
