TASER C2
The new TASER C2® series has almost 100% effectiveness rating. It combines the injury reducing benefits of traditional stun technology with a quantum leap in stopping power via new Neuromuscular Incapacitation (NMI) technology. In the newest police studies, the new TASER C2 has a higher instant incapacitation rate than a 9mm hand gun. The TASER C2 shoots out 2 darts attached to 15 feet of wire. 50,000 volts travels over the wires and over-rides the central nervous system providing incredible takedown power.

Taser is now offering the X26P to the consumer buying public. The newly improved single-shot X26P uses the same standard TASER cartridge as the X26C and includes new enhancements and safety features that integrate core elements of the Smart TASER platform from the TASER X2.
"The new X26P will feel familiar to many law enforcement officers, combining the form factor and cartridge from the original X26C with improved ergonomics, weatherproofing, and updated Smart technology features," said CEO and founder Rick Smith. "Smart technology adds enhanced safety and performance, improved data and analytics together with superior quality, reliability and durability."
"The X26P is a result of 10 years of technological advancements and the 'TASER Experience,' incorporating the voice of our customers and their needs with our world class research and support teams. The voice of the customer is critical to our success and based on this feedback we know there is a continuing market need for a cost effective single-shot device similar to the X26C which does not require substantial new training or changing inventories of cartridges. We found in our testing that some of our customers wanted the feature-rich improvements from the X2, but delivered in the X26 form factor. The X26C was our most popular model but had not seen any major change in nearly a decade -- until now."
"The TASER X26P reaches back to the basics of what makes TASER great in the hands of officers. Details about every deployment can now be traced back to the unit, making the X26P easier to use and ultimately easier to trust," concluded Smith.
SMART TECHNOLOGY DETAILS:
•An all-digital, solid-state architecture using Charge Metering that measures and delivers the amount of electric charge to maximize both safety and effectiveness.
•Trilogy Logs that include Engineering and Event Logs that record every user action such as: safety activation; trigger duration with times, dates, battery life; and a pulse-by-pulse record of the charge output.
•Universal Smart Platform where the following are compatible with both the X26P and X2: TASER CAM HD recorder, high capacity Performance Power Magazine (PPM), Automatic Performance Power Magazine (APPM) with automatic 5-second cycle shutoff, and firmware updates over the internet.
•Like other Smart CEWs, the X26P integrates with EVIDENCE.com, which helps manage and analyze evidence data with best-in-class security and ease-of-use.
Quality and Reliability Improvements
•IPX2 rated weatherproofing to resist rain and humidity.
•The X26P is backed by TASER's world class warranty and customer support.
•A new and improved eXtended Performance Power Magazine (XPPM) that provides an extended grip on the handle and an improved location to store and protect an extra cartridge.
Cost Effective
•Upgraded battery performance using a highly improved power magazine that lasts twice as long as the battery used with the original X26.
•Upgrade and trade-in program available for current customers (www.TASER.com/upgrade)
•The X26P is priced at $849.95. A variety of power magazine options including TASER CAM HD, PPM, APPM, and XPPM are sold separately to allow

A Pentagon office that helped develop microwave weapons that cause intense pain, lasers that temporarily blind people, and devices that emit intolerable levels of sound, is now working on a technology that uses electrical pulses to incapacitate people. If the research proves successful, it could lead to a new, more effective type of wireless stun gun.
Called the nanosecond electrical pulse (nsEP) project, the research focuses on using brief electrical pulses to temporarily paralyze an individual by disrupting the nervous system, similar to the way the Taser now works. But where this project differs from
most other stun guns, according to the Pentagon, is that it could theoretically be built as a wireless system, and have a longer lasting effect
Taser International, the leader in stunning devices, makes a line of incapacitating weapons that typically work with darts attached to wires, or by placing the weapon in direct contact with a person. Though there is a wireless version of a Taser, called the eXtended Range Electronic Projectile, which works from a shotgun, nanosecond electrical pulses offer the possibility of shrinking the size of the non-lethal round further, making the weapon more portable than current stun guns.
Of the leading Taser products on the market today, the Taser Pulse is probably the most compact and popular model available, and the first choice of women. Small enough to carry in a purse, the Taser C2 can stop a threat up to 15 feet away (4.5 meters), allowing you a safe distance to protect yourself and family members from an attacker. If a close quarter defense is warranted, the C2 doubles as a contact stun device to repel someone with a powerful and unexpected backup capability.
Stepping up from the Pulse is the more menacing Taser X2 with the same unprecedented take-down power as their law enforcement-grade counterparts. The Taser X2 delivers an incapacitating pulse that overrides the sensory and motor functions of the nervous system. This powerful Neuro Muscular Incapacitation (NMI) technology can stop even the most aggressive individuals, including those under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
Taser ECDs (Electronic Control Devices) use replaceable cartridges containing inert, compressed nitrogen to fire two small probes that are attached to 15 foot insulated conductive wires. Energy is sent over the wires into the probes, which can penetrate up to two inches of clothing. The charge is transmitted between the two probes, jamming sensory and motor functions, and inhibiting muscular control. This NMI effect continues in 5-10 second cycles each time you press the trigger. The X2 and Taser X1 can also be used in direct contact stun mode.
Carrying a Taser or Stun Gun is an excellent way to provide protection for yourself and your family, but it also comes with a certain amount of responsibility. Use it only in a manner consistent with the law, and take care to safeguard your device so it doesn't become lost or stolen.

Taser International Inc., has introduced a new weapon to its lineup of Law Enforcement grade stun guns that is capable of firing off a second shot should the officer miss with the first, or he is faced with more than one potential target.
Announced by Taser this past April, the new Taser X2 is similar in size to its flagship product, the Taser X26, but provides police greater performance and is more effective, said a spokesman for the Scottsdale, Arizona company.
With the new feature, an officer has a secondary backup shot to allow him to recover instantly in the event his first shot misses. It can also be used if there are multiple targets. The company's technology, called Cross-Connect, allows for six probe combinations in case a single probe misses on the first shot.
In addition, the Taser X2 offers dual lasers for accuracy improvement in aiming, and a beefed up power magazine to allow the gun to be fired more than 500 times before replacement. A warning arc of electricity on the gun front displays whether cartridges are loaded to help prevent situations from escalating, the company said.
Construction of the new Taser weapon has improved, too, making it more resilient to rain and humidity than previous models, and having the ability to diagnose itself to indicate its status. Taser technology, called Trilogy Logs, record if the probes make human contact.
Thirty-one percent smaller than Taser's X3, which is capable of firing three times, the new double-shot Taser X2 weighs in a mere 11.5ozs and will be priced less than $1,000. Taser says shipments have already begun.
In a company news release, Taser says the X2 was the most customer driven device ever developed. The all new features were specifically requested by law-enforcement professionals to meet the demands in the field. Thousands of officers participated in the design through online surveys, interviews and focus groups which allowed Taser to incorporate the requested capabilities into the new X2.
In a statement issued by Rick Smith, Taser CEO and founder, “The X2 is the culmination of more than six years of intense research and development and offers exponentially increased capabilities, including vastly enhanced data, as well as enhanced safety features with its second-shot capability and dual lasers.”

Having recently attended a self defense course for women, my wife learned how very important it is to pay attention to your surroundings. This is almost the golden rule of self defense. Along with being alert it ...is not a bad idea to explore different options in self defense products that offer an additional level of protection. The most popular of these items are Tasers, stun guns, and pepper spray.
Tasers are a popular choice for several reasons. One of the big advantages of a Taser is that they can be used from a distance; generally the maximum distance for civilian models is around 15 feet. Another bonus that a Taser offers is that it can be used in a similar fashion as a stun gun, with direct contact. Finally, Tasers have become much easier to carry as they have become smaller and more user friendly over the years
Right now, the latest and greatest Taser on the market is the Taser C2. This Taser has many options that have not been available before. There are more choices when it comes to how long a pulse is, or how long the electric current is going. The C2 gives the user more control.
Sometimes even a reminder about common-sense ways to stay safe is all you may need.
Keep yourself out of dangerous situations. That small voice inside is worth listening too. Many women who have been victims of an assault later stated that they felt something was just not right. Be smart, find something you are comfortable carrying and using, and most of all, be prepared to defend yourself.

If you want to defend yourself, but don't want to carry a firearm, TASER (which, amusingly, stands for Thomas A. Swift's Electric Rifle) thinks it has the answer: it's called the Pulse and it's a new, subcompact self-defense weapon meant for easy concealed carry.
About the size of a carry-focused handgun, the Pulse uses the same electrical tech as TASER's police-focused weapons, but without expensive law enforcem...ent-focused add-ons like data logs, charge metering, and an on-board camera. It starts at $399, and includes an on-board laser sight and flashlight.
It includes some nice features to make things easier for concealed carry, including shaved safeties, angled sights, and an angled trigger guard to keep sharp edges from snagging upon draw or reholster, and a user-replaceable battery. TASER says a dozen brand-name holster manufacturers will be releasing holsters designed for it, too.
The $400 price puts it in the same ballpark as some of the more affordable subcompact, concealed-carry firearms, like the Walther PK380 and the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 380, but you can buy the new Pulse today online at our everyday low price of only $379. Just head over to http://www.thecoverteye.com/Taser_Pulse
Though "less-lethal" weapons like those made by TASER are popular with police departments, they have had more trouble making inroads in the consumer sector. That's for two reasons: they're expensive and the weapons are physically quite large, and thus not good for concealment.
The consumer version of the X26, TASER's police-focused sidearm, runs around a thousand dollars and is larger in size. It's something one could conceivable keep around the house or in a car, but it's not practical to carry in a belt or hide in a bag. The other consumer-focused TASER is the C2, now renamed the Bolt, which has been around for almost a decade and doesn't use the easy and familiar firearm shape and grip. It starts at $300.
TASER says it will offer free replacement weapons to anyone who needs to deploy the Pulse, then drop it and run — the gun will continue immobilizing for 30 seconds, allowing time to escape an attacker.

Taser International Inc. debuted its new updated consumer self-defense weapon Tuesday at a Las Vegas firearms conference.
The Taser Pulse is a smaller, discreet sub-compact design so private citizens can carry the stun gun either in their pocket, purse or holster, said Taser spokesman Steve Tuttle.
“We realized that bulky is not good for consumers,” Tuttle said. “The original one was pretty big. This is meant to be carried around. If it's not small it becomes a nightstand device. We want it to fit in a pocket or purse with an intuitive design.
While Scottsdale-based Taser (Nasdaq: TASR) originally started selling to consumers and first started selling its Air Taser consumer model in 1994, a year after the company started, the Pulse is the first consumer upgrade since 2007, Tuttle said.
Taser began selling its stun guns to law enforcement in 1998 as demand grew, and now more than 18,000 law enforcement agencies in 107 countries use Tasers.

In a bit of marketing stragety TASER International recently changed the popular C2 to the Taser Bolt. No modifications were made to its unique slender design or knock down power, but the new Bolt will now only be offered in black. This means that the 5 colors that were available with the Taser C2 will be discontinued. Right now we have a few of the C2s stil in stock to choose from, but once they're gone we will be unable to order any more.
The new Taser Bolt is light weight, compact and easily fits in a
pocket or purse. The 15 foot cartridge allows for a safe distance between you and an attacker. When fired, the TASER Bolt will deliver a 30-second energy burst. During this 30-second window of opportunity while the attacker is incapacitated, you can set the unit down and get to safety.
The Bolt can also be used as a close proximity stun gun back up without the cartridge or after the cartridge has been fired. The high precision laser allows for greater accuracy. The low intensity light illuminates for better visibility so you can easily identify a target at night.
TASER Bolt's are powered by a replaceable lithium battery which provides over 50 firings. TASERs can be carried openly or concealed without a license.
