In a bit of marketing stragety TASER International recently changed the popular C2 to the Taser Bolt. No modifications were made to its unique slender design or knock down power, but the new Bolt will now only be offered in black. This means that the 5 colors that were available with the Taser C2 will be discontinued. Right now we have a few of the C2s stil in stock to choose from, but once they're gone we will be unable to order any more.
The new Taser Bolt is light weight, compact and easily fits in a
pocket or purse. The 15 foot cartridge allows for a safe distance between you and an attacker. When fired, the TASER Bolt will deliver a 30-second energy burst. During this 30-second window of opportunity while the attacker is incapacitated, you can set the unit down and get to safety.
The Bolt can also be used as a close proximity stun gun back up without the cartridge or after the cartridge has been fired. The high precision laser allows for greater accuracy. The low intensity light illuminates for better visibility so you can easily identify a target at night.
TASER Bolt's are powered by a replaceable lithium battery which provides over 50 firings. TASERs can be carried openly or concealed without a license.

Our new Vampire Repellent Pepper Spray comes infused with essence of garlic. A fusion of pepper and garlic might sound like a great addition to any Italian dish, but DO NOT use this spray in your fettuccine alfredo. Measuring in at 2 million scoville heat units, a direct shot of this hot concoction will cause the eyes and throat to swell up, making it hard to see and even harder to enjoy your pasta.
The effects typically wear off in 45 minutes, which makes it a great way to ruin a dinner party, but also gives you plenty of time to give a stalker the slip.
Plus, it'll also coat your vampire friend with an identifying dye, making it easy for a slayer - or the authorities - to catch up with them later.
And here's the good news: it doesn't just work on vampires. It works on garden variety human creeps as well.
With a quick release keychain, a safety lock, and a touch of garlic, Vampire Repellent pepper spray is everything you need to safely deal with your vampire stalker.

When you're being stalked by a vampire, you need a reliable way to defend yourself.
Did you bring a stake?
No?
Buffy would be very disappointed in you.
Never mind though, because with this pepper spray, you can keep all the creepy Edward Cullens out there away from your throat.

Taser is now offering the X26P to the consumer buying public. The newly improved single-shot X26P uses the same standard TASER cartridge as the X26C and includes new enhancements and safety features that integrate core elements of the Smart TASER platform from the TASER X2.
"The new X26P will feel familiar to many law enforcement officers, combining the form factor and cartridge from the original X26C with improved ergonomics, weatherproofing, and updated Smart technology features," said CEO and founder Rick Smith. "Smart technology adds enhanced safety and performance, improved data and analytics together with superior quality, reliability and durability."
"The X26P is a result of 10 years of technological advancements and the 'TASER Experience,' incorporating the voice of our customers and their needs with our world class research and support teams. The voice of the customer is critical to our success and based on this feedback we know there is a continuing market need for a cost effective single-shot device similar to the X26C which does not require substantial new training or changing inventories of cartridges. We found in our testing that some of our customers wanted the feature-rich improvements from the X2, but delivered in the X26 form factor. The X26C was our most popular model but had not seen any major change in nearly a decade -- until now."
"The TASER X26P reaches back to the basics of what makes TASER great in the hands of officers. Details about every deployment can now be traced back to the unit, making the X26P easier to use and ultimately easier to trust," concluded Smith.
SMART TECHNOLOGY DETAILS:
•An all-digital, solid-state architecture using Charge Metering that measures and delivers the amount of electric charge to maximize both safety and effectiveness.
•Trilogy Logs that include Engineering and Event Logs that record every user action such as: safety activation; trigger duration with times, dates, battery life; and a pulse-by-pulse record of the charge output.
•Universal Smart Platform where the following are compatible with both the X26P and X2: TASER CAM HD recorder, high capacity Performance Power Magazine (PPM), Automatic Performance Power Magazine (APPM) with automatic 5-second cycle shutoff, and firmware updates over the internet.
•Like other Smart CEWs, the X26P integrates with EVIDENCE.com , which helps manage and analyze evidence data with best-in-class security and ease-of-use.
Quality and Reliability Improvements
•IPX2 rated weatherproofing to resist rain and humidity.
•The X26P is backed by TASER's world class warranty and customer support.
•A new and improved eXtended Performance Power Magazine (XPPM) that provides an extended grip on the handle and an improved location to store and protect an extra cartridge.
Cost Effective
•Upgraded battery performance using a highly improved power magazine that lasts twice as long as the battery used with the original X26.
•Upgrade and trade-in program available for current customers ( www.TASER.com/upgrade )
•The X26P is priced at $849.95. A variety of power magazine options including TASER CAM HD, PPM, APPM, and XPPM are sold separately to allow
agencies to customize their device configuration.

“As diligent and hardworking as campus police are, they cannot protect all the many people on campus at all time, so let those folks protect themselves.”
State Representative Buzz Brockway plans to file a bill next week that would let students at least 18 years of age carry electroshock weapons on all of Georgia's public campuses. The bill, according to Brockway, was written after he discover... ed students are allowed to carry pepper spray on campus but not Tasers or stun-guns.
Many Georgia lawmakers are pushing for legislation that would permit students to carry handguns on campus but state law currently prohibits concealed handgun license holders from exercising their rights on school grounds. Most efforts to bring guns to campus have stalled at the capitol because university presidents oppose the idea. House Bill 544, which would allow anyone to carry guns on Georgia's public campuses, was introduced in 2015 but has not received a committee hearing.
“Students told me they were not allowed to carry pepper spray with them on campus. I thought this was strange so I did some research. I found they were mistaken, and they are allowed to possess pepper spray and similar chemically based protection items. However, several of the public colleges I examined in Georgia explicitly prohibited stun-guns and Tasers on campus. So I decided to introduce a bill to change that,” Brockway told Campus Reform.
Brockway added that he thinks campus police departments are not staffed well enough to account for all of the crimes on campus.
“What I hear from students, faculty, and other campus employees, especially folks at colleges and universities in the city of Atlanta, is a desire to protect themselves,” he said. “As diligent and hardworking as campus police are, they cannot protect all the many people on campus at all time, so let those folks protect themselves.”
Some state senators, however, have raised concerns about the safety of stun-guns. Senator Vincent Fort said Tasers in the hands of college students could lead to many accidental injuries. Brockway disagrees and thinks students who purchase stun-guns will be responsible enough to avoid injuries.
“Pepper spray is allowed and we don't see much misuse of those products on college campuses. I think the people who will choose to purchase electroshock weapons for their personal protection will act responsibly,” Brockway argued.
Unlike campus carry legislation, Brockway's bill would not require students to pass a background check before purchasing a stun-gun.
“As best I can tell, there is currently no requirement in Georgia law for screening or training before purchasing Tasers, stun guns or other electroshock weapons and my bill does not require those things either,” he said.

Taser International Inc. debuted its new updated consumer self-defense weapon Tuesday at a Las Vegas firearms conference.
The Taser Pulse is a smaller, discreet sub-compact design so private citizens can carry the stun gun either in their pocket, purse or holster, said Taser spokesman Steve Tuttle.
“We realized that bulky is not good for consumers,” Tuttle said. “The original one was pretty big. This is meant to be carried around. If it's not small it becomes a nightstand device. We want it to fit in a pocket or purse with an intuitive design.
While Scottsdale-based Taser (Nasdaq: TASR) originally started selling to consumers and first started selling its Air Taser consumer model in 1994, a year after the company started, the Pulse is the first consumer upgrade since 2007, Tuttle said.
Taser began selling its stun guns to law enforcement in 1998 as demand grew, and now more than 18,000 law enforcement agencies in 107 countries use Tasers.

Thieves targeting women who are alone, police say.
After a series of muggings and car-jackings targeting women, police in Jackson, Mississippi, said Friday that women should arm themselves.
"I wouldn't say packing, but I think they need some sort of weapon in order to protect themselves," Officer Colendula Green said. "A lot of friends of mine have tasers or (pepper) spray."
The Jackson Police Department is investigating six cases in the past month of carjacking, armed robbery and auto theft. The two to three thieves, who were either on foot or in a vehicle, are described as black men who are 16 to 20 years old, dressed in dark clothing and hooded shirts. At least one of them was armed during the incidents, police said.
A woman who lives at the Fondren Hills Apartments, where one of the attacks took place, said a friend sent her pepper spray so she could protect herself.
"I sent him the news, and he was worried, but he can't do anything because he's not from here. So he got me (pepper spray) from Amazon," she said.
Jackson police on Thursday issued an urgent warning to women who are alone to be aware of their surroundings when walking to or from their vehicle, along with the following advice:
• If you feel that you are being followed, call 911 immediately and report your location and description. Stay on the phone with the dispatcher in a well-illuminated area until an officer arrives.
• Avoid dark and isolated areas while alone. If possible, travel with others during nighttime hours.
• Report any suspicious activity.
• Avoid distractions, (e.g. cellphones and loud music) while traveling or walking to or away from your vehicle.
• Avoid the display of items that could be attractive to suspects.
"Also, if they have their keys in their hand, if they're approached by a perpetrator, or something like that, they can use their keys as a weapon," Green said.

On Wednesday's Late Show, Stephen Colbert was on fire as he covered Donald Trump's endorsement by Sarah Palin. The bit covered parts of Palin's incoherent speech at a Trump campaign rally in Ames, Iowa.
Colbert expressed that Trump has been very good at providing him funny content for his sows, both the Colbert Report and now the Late Show, but, as the late night talk show host said, "Nobody compares to the material girl,"... referring to Palin.
Colbert said that Palin knows that, "when doing a reunion tour," you need to bring out your hits. He showed a clip of Palin talking about Obama and his "hopey changey" stuff and "drill baby drill." Coming back from the clip, Colbert is cheering and holding up a lit lighter, like he is at a rock and roll concert. He says that Palin has not missed a step in her time away from the campaign trail. He compares her to Michael Jordan in the playoffs calling her "unconscious."

If you want to defend yourself, but don't want to carry a firearm, TASER (which, amusingly, stands for Thomas A. Swift's Electric Rifle) thinks it has the answer: it's called the Pulse and it's a new, subcompact self-defense weapon meant for easy concealed carry.
About the size of a carry-focused handgun, the Pulse uses the same electrical tech as TASER's police-focused weapons, but without expensive law enforcem... ent-focused add-ons like data logs, charge metering, and an on-board camera. It starts at $399, and includes an on-board laser sight and flashlight.
It includes some nice features to make things easier for concealed carry, including shaved safeties, angled sights, and an angled trigger guard to keep sharp edges from snagging upon draw or reholster, and a user-replaceable battery. TASER says a dozen brand-name holster manufacturers will be releasing holsters designed for it, too.
The $400 price puts it in the same ballpark as some of the more affordable subcompact, concealed-carry firearms, like the Walther PK380 and the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 380, but you can buy the new Pulse today online at our everyday low price of only $379. Just head over to http://www.thecoverteye.com/Taser_Pulse
Though "less-lethal" weapons like those made by TASER are popular with police departments, they have had more trouble making inroads in the consumer sector. That's for two reasons: they're expensive and the weapons are physically quite large, and thus not good for concealment.
The consumer version of the X26, TASER's police-focused sidearm, runs around a thousand dollars and is larger in size. It's something one could conceivable keep around the house or in a car, but it's not practical to carry in a belt or hide in a bag. The other consumer-focused TASER is the C2, now renamed the Bolt, which has been around for almost a decade and doesn't use the easy and familiar firearm shape and grip. It starts at $300.
TASER says it will offer free replacement weapons to anyone who needs to deploy the Pulse, then drop it and run — the gun will continue immobilizing for 30 seconds, allowing time to escape an attacker.
